Dr. Abhijit Paul is a dedicated academician and researcher in the field of Computer Science, with more than 16 years of teaching experience. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Gurucharan University, Silchar, where he actively contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate education, as well as academic development initiatives.
Dr. Paul has a strong academic foundation, having qualified the NE Region SLET in Computer Science, and also holds a postgraduate degree (MCA). He obtained his M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Assam University in 2015 and 2019, respectively. His research primarily focuses on Machine Translation within the broader domains of Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
He has served as a resource person at several national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops, and has also chaired sessions at various academic events. In addition, he has undertaken key academic responsibilities such as framing UG&PG level syllabus, question paper setting and moderation for Gurucharan University and Assam University, Silchar.
Further advancing his academic career, Dr. Paul began supervising Ph.D. scholars from August 2026, marking an important milestone in his role as a research mentor.
