Introduction [Biosketch]

Dr. O. Mema Devi is a dedicated academician and researcher in the field of Computer Science,
with more than 19 years of teaching experience. She is currently working as an Assistant
Professor and Head in the Department of Computer Science at Gurucharan University, Silchar,
where she actively contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate education, as well as
academic development initiatives.
She obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Assam University in 2014. His research
primarily focuses on Fuzzy Pattern Recognition Techniques on Medical Image Processing
within the broader domains of Image Processing, Machine Learning and Artificial
Intelligence.
Dr. Devi holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Assam University, Silchar. Her research
interests include Fuzzy Soft Computing, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.
She has participated in several national and international conferences, seminars, and
workshops, and has also chaired sessions at various academic events. In addition, she has
undertaken key academic responsibilities such as question paper setting and moderation for
Gurucharan University and Assam University, Silchar.

Further advancing her academic career, Dr. Devi began supervising Ph.D. scholar from August
2026, marking an important milestone in her role as a research mentor.
